CSM David Lee Bowen

CSM David Lee Bowen was born in Burns, Oregon on 9 April 1968. He entered active-duty military service in the United States Army on 18 August 1995. He began his Army career attending One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia, earning the coveted cross rifles and blue cord of an infantryman (11B10). After his first enlistment (4 years 16 weeks) he then served for two years in the Florida National Guard (Tampa, FL). Immediately after the 9-11 attacks on New York and the Pentagon, he reentered active-duty service and attended Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Eustis, VA to obtain the MOS for Armament, Electronics, and Avionics systems repairer 68Y10 (15Y10) for the Apache Longbow helicopter. He has served in the Army for 29 years and has held multiple leadership positions from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major. He is a graduate of class 70 of the Sergeants Major Academy, Sergeants Major Course and is a well-rounded and skilled leader.

CSM Bowen enjoys spending family time with his wife (Shelle), daughter (Autumn), and son (Zachary). His hobbies include, but not limited to, working out, cycling, hiking, kayaking, traveling, going to football (Soccer) games, and camping.
